Open House
Each year Margo’s Early Learning Center hosts an Open House for all of our children and their families to enjoy. Our annual open house is school sponsored and generally offered in the fall months. All of our families are welcome to join us for dinner, games and activities. It's a great way for everyone to get to know the staff, and each others children and families.

Fundraising Fun!
Each winter we all get together for a "fun"draising dinner. As it's usually a bit chillier then, we meet at a local casual dining place in the area and enjoy dinner and some social time. The kids are so excited to see each other outside of class, enjoy dinner together and have some evening fun! Any funds raised will go directly to our summer program.

Mom's Night Out
Each Spring, we offer a fun evening for our mom's to come over without their children, relax and just get to spend some time getting to know each other. It's a great way to share ideas, solutions and input, whether you are struggling with child related issues, or just need a good chat! It's a great time to make new friends or just hang out with the old ones! We serve snacks, and the mom's are welcome to bring the beverage of their choice!

Wild Wacky Summer Program
Margo’s Early Learning Center offers full time and part-time child care during the summer months as well. We have a full summer program, having replaced typical field trips with an on-site program instead. Although, like most programs, we have offered field trips to the children in the past, we have found that an on-site program offers so much more. By avoiding traffic, long lines and unsafe areas, we are able to bring many different experiences to your child and still keep them on their schedule, and right where you left them!
Each summer we all enjoy our Wild, Wacky Wednesday's! They're much more fun for young children, keeping them on their schedule and keeping their routines fluid. Every Wednesday, all summer long, we have a themed activity day that coincides with our weekly theme. A couple of favorites are 'Bugs and Crawly Things' and' The Beach and our Oceans'. On bug day, we often have a special guest who bring real bugs for us to view and touch. We hunt for bugs and eat "bug" foods. For the beach and oceans, we've had the Bolsa Chica Conservancy come and show us wild life from under the sea. And of course there are always crafts, games and lots of prizes each week! The kids really look forward to these days each year!

Picnic in the Park
At the end of each summer, we have our picnic in the park get-together. All our families are invited to bring a picnic lunch and their own fun activities, and join their friends for a casual picnic in the park. Everyone is invited, including families that have already graduated, or on the waiting list, so bring the family, friends and neighbors to join in the fun! Location will be announced close to the event each year.

Potty-Training
We realize potty-training can be a sensitive subject for many parents and everyone you meet seems to be an expert on when "your" child should be trained. Our policy here is simple: We wait until your child shows signs of being ready, and we all potty-train as a team. In support of the stress free process, we charge no training fees, and include it in tuition. Using the toilet is a natural part of transition from toddlerhood into the pre-k years, and we feel it should be treated as such. It generally happens quite rapidly when they are ready and there is very little drama or mess to contend with. Our methods have proven quite effective over the years and most parents appreciate the stress-free potty-training environment. We believe emphasis should be placed on your toddler's enrichment and enjoyment of the program they attend, not on whether they can use the bathroom ''before their friends."
